Privacy Policy

Effective July 8, 2026. Applies to the website pingvera.com and the service app.pingvera.com.

01

Who we are

Pingvera is a website and server monitoring service. The data controller — the party responsible for your personal data — is:

Individual Entrepreneur Artem Meleshkin

Email: info@pingvera.com

This policy explains, in plain language, what data we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what you can do about it.

02

What data we collect

  • Account data — your email address and, if you provide it, your name. Used to create and secure your account and to contact you about the service.
  • Monitoring configuration — the sites, servers and checks you set up: URLs, hostnames, check intervals, notification settings.
  • Technical telemetry of monitored sites and servers — check results (response times, status codes, certificate data) and, if you install the agent, server metrics such as CPU, memory, disk and network usage. This is operational data about your infrastructure, not about you as a person.
  • Server logs — standard access logs (IP address, browser type, requested pages, timestamps), kept for security and troubleshooting.

We do not request or process any special categories of personal data, and we collect nothing beyond what the service needs to work.

03

Why we collect it

  • to register you and give you access to your account;
  • to provide the monitoring service itself: run checks, store telemetry, detect incidents, send alerts;
  • to send service notifications: alerts you configured, security notices, important changes to the service;
  • to keep the service secure and reliable (abuse prevention, troubleshooting).
04

Legal grounds

  • Contract. Most processing is simply what it takes to deliver the service you signed up for.
  • Consent. Where processing is not strictly required by the service, we rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
05

Retention and deletion

We keep account data for as long as your account exists. Monitoring telemetry (check results, server metrics) is stored with a limited retention period and expires automatically — older data is deleted by TTL. Server logs are rotated on a similar short schedule.

How to delete your data. You can delete your account yourself in the dashboard (Settings → Danger zone → Delete account) — this removes your account and the associated data; remaining telemetry expires by TTL shortly after. You can also email us at info@pingvera.com and we will handle the deletion for you.

06

Sub-processors and hosting

The service is hosted on servers located in Germany (hosting provider: Contabo GmbH). We do not share your personal data with anyone else, except where required by law. We use no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking services.

07

Your rights

You can at any time:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • correct it if it is inaccurate;
  • delete it (via account deletion or by request);
  • export a copy of your data in a machine-readable format;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
08

No sale of personal data

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. Ever. Our only business model is the subscription you pay for the service.

09

Cookies

We use only essential session cookies needed to keep you signed in to the dashboard. There are no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking of any kind — which is why you don't see a cookie banner here.

10

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. The current version is always available at pingvera.com/privacy.html; material changes will be announced in the service.
